Rich Flanders

RichFlanders_teal 6-10Rich’s first cd, YONDERING, “classic western songs of earth, sky, and the great lone places,” was nominated Album of the Year by The Academy of Westen Artists and received The Will Rogers Cowboy Award for Best Song.  His second album, RIDE AWAY, was nominated Album of the Year, Best Traditional Western Album and Best Original Song (13 Voices) by The Western Music Ass’n. Trained at San Francisco State College and The American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York, Rich appeared on Broadway in “Shenandoah” and toured in the First National Company of “Annie.”

His most recent New York appearance was with Celia Berk at Don’t Tell Mama cabaret in “DOUBLE STANDARDS,” featuring music of “the Great American Songbook.”  Three selections have just been released on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby! Other NY appearances include the Broadway Concerts Direct productions of animal rescue benefit concerts at Birdland and The Metropolitan Room, and “Sarah Rice & Friends” at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.  His recording of Judy Kellersberger’s song, “Tribute to the Hudson” ( was played at the opening of the New York State Quadricentennial and on folk music radio in New York and New Jersey.
